Giving back

Where I put my time beyond the job.

A certified B Corp, two nonprofits and student mentorship. The work taught me that marketing is strongest when it serves something bigger than a quarter.

The B Corp

Working for a B Corp is one of the things I'm proudest of. At Gifts for Good, a certified B Corp, every gift funded a cause, and I started the marketing team as Director of Marketing. In 2022 the company gave $1.18M to charity across 64 cause partners, and I helped tell that story to customers and to enterprise buyers. Outside that job, I consult for a Hawai'i healthcare nonprofit and built the social video channels for the ManKind Project, a nonprofit for men's emotional growth that has been around since 1985.

1.5M children

Given a year of lifesaving vitamins, plus 260,556 trees funded and 242,599 months of clean water.

Mentorship

I mentor with the Upward Bound Program at Oxnard College. Upward Bound is a federal TRIO program of the U.S. Department of Education that supports high school students from low-income families and from families where neither parent holds a bachelor's degree. I also mentor through CSUN Mentor Connect, the Oxnard Union High School District and the Asian American Collective (again in 2026). I taught personal branding for the Ventura County Community College District, and ran Life Tools workshops in 2022 on personal story, branding and building a network.

My mission

"Giving back educationally will always continue to be my mission to empower the next generations."

"The most valuable part of our relationship with Emmanuel and Tim was their ability to connect with our students and create meaningful mentorships."

"Tim's ability to connect with young students far exceeded my expectations."

Easter egg

Congratulations. You found it.

Most people read the case studies. You went straight for the footer logo, which tells me you notice details. That is a good habit in a marketer, and a good sign for us working together.

The secret: this whole site was built with AI, directed by me, and it costs $0 to host. My old site's hosting cost $350+ for three years, almost $120 a year, plus about $20 a year for the domain. I still pay for the domain. The hosting is free.
